School Admission 2011
The Gauteng Department of Education is inviting all parents seeking space for their learners in schools or those with children in school to start applying or confirming the registration of their children.
There is limited space in Gauteng schools and the best chance of securing space is to apply early as admissions is done on a first-come-first served basis. Applying in time enables the department to plan for issues such as learning and teaching material, desks and chairs, etc, in order to deliver quality education.
For existing parents with learners : confirm by 30 July 2010 that your child will be returning to the same school.
For parents seeking space for new learners: If your child is going to school for the first time in 2011 (going to Grade R or 1) or proceeding from a primary school to a high school (Grade 8) or even moving to a new school, register at the school nearest to your home address before 23 September 2010.
Remember registration will be on a first-come-first-served basis due to limited space!
