GAUTENG CITY REGION ACADEMY(GCRA)

 What is Gauteng City Region Academy

The Gauteng City Region Academy (GCRA) is a branch of the Gauteng Department of Education responsible for promoting skills development in the Gauteng City Region.
 The mandate for the GCRA is skills development for both the public sector and the youth of Gauteng Province, which is central to building skills for the economy and to ensure an efficient, effective and developmental oriented public service. The role of the Academy is therefore, to contribute to socio-economic transformation.
 
GCRA Strategic Goals
·         To develop interventions which respond to the skills development needs of the Gauteng public servants; and
·         To enable young people to make the transition from school to work, through relevant work training opportunities.
 
 
GCRA’s Clients and Stakeholders
 
GCRA empowers Gauteng citizens to be ready and capable to meet the economic and social challenges that lie ahead in the increasingly competitive global business environment:
·          Gauteng Provincial Government employees
·         The Youth of Gauteng
·         Education and Training Institutions
·         Business Sector and
