DAY TWO OF ONLINE ADMISSIONS CONTINUES TO RUN SMOOTH
Date: 5/3/2017
Author: JEFF MMOPE

Online registration continues to be a success on day two as the traffic is working well on the system. Scores of parents are happy and satisfied with the service they are getting from the 65 operational centres across Gauteng.

GDE Head Office at Hollard Street in Johannesburg has been a hive of activity as most parents and guardians were assisted in getting their children registered. Thus far, more than 150 000 applicants have already been registered onto the system. One of the applicant Nomsa Msibi of Turffontein expressed happiness about the professional service she
received at Head Office today. “When I came in at GDE Head Office I
was frustrated by the long queue. To my joy I was helped just under 10 minutes, ”said the excited Msibi. “I am grateful to the GDE team as my son will be a Grade8 learner next year.”

According to reports received from on- site Assistant Technicians there were minor glitches experienced and have been successfully resolved. Here are some of the comments by the people of Gauteng acknowledged from social media.
